This event has been running since 1973 and is currently the longest running Jamboree in the State of Massachusetts. This year marks the 21st year that this annual event has been named after three individuals beginning in 1997. This event brings together 12 high school hockey programs to celebrate the memory of three individuals who made valuable contributions to Taunton High School Hockey. Unfortunately, Stephen G. Matthews, Barrett Henshaw and Chad Soderberg each had their lives cut short.
This event has been created and sustained to honor the memory of three men and their love for the game of Hockey. Their contributions prior to their passing still make a positive impact on THS players and the community that will never be forgotten. In 2004, we raised a banner in their honor and it will remain a lasting memory for future Teams and Players to strive to be their best they can be on and off the ice. Portions of the proceeds of this event helps the THS Face-Off Club fund scholarships for senior players. We appreciate your participation, attendance, and support of this memorable event.
