The Taunton High School Wrestling team is a varsity level sport that is played in the winter season from Thanksgiving Break to the 2nd Week of March. The team has both small and big guys and is a great sport for anyone to try. The team consists of wrestlers with no experience to many years of experience on both the Varsity and JV squad.
The team is not a cut sport and encourages everyone to try it at least once. To get kids a heads up before the season or to try out wrestling below is a list of clubs where current and former wrestlers from the team go out to train. All clubs below are great places to learn the basics before joining the team and have qualified coaches.

The purpose of the wrestling family is to develop a unit that transcends the walls of this school, to provide the necessary tools for the pursuit of individual and team goals, and to recognize this activity from a larger community perspective. Taunton Wrestling strives to be more than a team. Rather, the focus is to be a home away from home. The family is critical in providing encouragement, understanding, and personal growth during the students time in high school. The Taunton Wrestler gains satisfaction from knowing that he/she did his best to become the best that he/she is capable of becoming.
Our program recognizes these virtues to be essential in the mental and physical development of its members and their roles as Taunton wrestlers, students, and more importantly as life's citizens of this world. Leadership development is of utmost importance as one navigates through his/her years here on campus.
Entering with a love for competition, one will leave with an appreciation and preparation for life.
