Taunton Swim vs. Milford 01/07/2020

Taunton High School Boys Varsity Swim Team was defeated by Milford 87-79 in their 3rd meet of the season despite many top finishes. The 200 Medley Relay Team of Brady Callahan, Matthew Heather, Timothy Luc and Martin Dafov took first place. There were several double winners. Dafov won the 200 Free and 500 Free. Heather won the 200 IM and 100 Breast. Callahan won the 50 Free and 100 Free. Luc won the 100 Fly with a Division 1 State qualifying time and 100 Back with a South Sectional qualifying team. The 400 Free relay team of Callahan, Dafov, Heather and Luc took first.  
 
Taunton High School Girls Varsity Swim Team was defeated by Milford 87-82 in a contest that came down to the final event.  There were many great swims.The 200 Medley Relay Team of Tiffany Ye, Macey Jorge, Marisa Gay and Angelina Lynch took first place.  Lynch won the 200 Free and 100 Free with a South Sectional qualifying time. Ye placed 1st in the 100 Back and 2nd in the 200 IM. Gay placed 1st in the 100 Breast and 2nd in the 100 Fly. Tessa Botelho, Jocelyn Wood and Kayla Parrett all performed well in the 500 Free, placing 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively. The 200 Free Relay Team of Gay, Jorge, Ye and Lynch placed 1st. There were also strong swims by senior Jacalin Gallagher, who placed 2nd in the 100 Back and Jorge who placed 2nd in the 100 Breast. The 400 Free Relay Team of Gallagher, Mila Dafov, Parett and Wood placed 2nd.
