Boys TennisTaunton, 5 @ Coyle & Cassidy, 0 – Final – Taunton picked its first win of the season with a pair of singles players winning in straight sets without dropping a game. Senior Francois Hennaux notched his first win at first singles (7-5, 6-0) while junior Brett Beaulieu and Mike Briggs each won 6-0, 6-0 at second and third singles, respectively. The team of Charlie Fiske and Dylan Kullas took a 6-3, 6-3 decision at first doubles while Kyle Dennehy and Trevor Hart earned a 6-1, 6-1 win at second doubles. Taunton moved to 4-0 on the season with a 3-1 (22-25, 25-7, 25-11, 25-15) win over visting Durfee. Senior Collin Hunter paced the attack with a team-high 11 kills along with three blocks and an ace. Taunton coach Toby Chaperon noted Alex Tavares (three kills, four blocks) played well at the net for the Tigers and both Gage Kingman and Jason Khang had excellent games defensively. Lens Esquil added nine kills, five blocks, and an ace for Taunton. Comments are closed.
