Girls Lacrosse

Mansfield @ Taunton – Postponed to a date and time to be announced.

Boys Tennis

Taunton, 4 @ Durfee, 1 – Final – Taunton swept singles play and grabbed another win in doubles play to beat Durfee. Francois Hennaux won 6-1, 7-6 at first singles, Brett Beaulieu earned a 6-2, 5-5 (weather) win at second singles, Mike Briggs won 6-3, 6-4 at third singles, and the team of Charlie Fiske and Dylan Kylas picked up a 6-2, 6-3 win at first doubles.

Girls Tennis

Taunton, 5 vs. Durfee, 0 – Final – Taunton lost just three games in its three singles matches and just two games in its two doubles matches to beat Durfee. Jillian Pagliuca won 6-2, 6-0 at first singles, Vanessa Rosa earned a 6-1, 6-0 win at second singles, and Jocelyn Pagliuca didn’t lose a game in a sweep at third singles. The team of Samantha Martin and McKenzie Lucie won 6-0, 6-2 at first singles and Amanda Pugh and Brianna Fevrier teamed up to earn a 6-0, 6-0 win at second doubles.

Baseball

Taunton, 11 @ King Philip, 1 – Final - Taunton’s offense had its best showing of the season, scoring two runs in each the third, fourth, fifth innings and then putting the game out of reach with a five-run sixth inning. Jacob Crawford led the Tigers with three hits while Jack Moynihan (two RBI), Jakob Roberts, and Tyler Medeiros each had two hits. Tyler Pietrzyk had a team-high three RBI for the Tigers. Moynihan tossed five scoreless innings for the win, striking out three.

Softball

Girls Lacrosse

Taunton, 11 @ Oliver Ames, 17 – Final – Taunton freshman Alana Tavares scored six goals, including the 100th of her career in the loss.

Boys Volleyball

Taunton, 3 vs. North Quincy, 0 – Final – After beating North Quincy on the road in five sets earlier this season, the undefeated Tigers flexed their muscles on home with a clean sweep (25-22, 25-15, 25-20). Lance Law paced the attack with 14 kills and an ace, Lens Esquil added 10 kills and five blocks, and Collin Hunter chipped in with three kills, three blocks, and three aces.

Boys Lacrosse

Oliver Ames, 19 @ Taunton, 0 – Final – Oliver Ames’ Steve Heino registered a shutout in his second career varsity start. The Tigers’ offense was balanced with 11 different goal scorers, led by four from Owen Gallagher and three from Colin Bourne.

Boys Tennis

King Philip, 4 @ Taunton, 1 – Final – Taunton’s Francois Hennaux saved six match points at first singles en route to a 6-2, 2-6, 7-5 win but King Philip won the other four matches to get the victory. Nick Putney won 6-3, 6-2 at second singles, Jack Cannon earned a 6-0, 6-3 win at third singles, the team of Nate Ihley and Sean Desroches rallied for a 5-7, 6-1, 6-0 win at first doubles, and Nick Ihley and Aidan Ignatius won 6-2, 6-1 at second doubles for the Warriors.

Boys Tennis

Taunton, 5 vs. Coyle & Cassidy, 0 – Final – Taunton picked up its second sweep of Coyle this season, this one on its home courts. Francois Hennaux and Brett Beaulieu won 6-0, 6-0 at first and second singles, respectively, while Barrett Hodgson won by forfeit at third singles. Charlie Fiske and Dylan Kullas won 6-0, 6-0 at first doubles and Kyle Dennehy and Trevor Hart earned a 6-0, 6-1 win at second doubles.

Girls Tennis

Taunton, 5 @ Coyle & Cassidy, 0 – Final – Taunton swept the season series against city rival Coyle, taking all five matches in straight sets. Neither of the Tigers’ doubles teams lost a single game as McKenzie Lucie and Samantha Martin (first doubles) and the team of Amanda Pugh and Brianna Fevrier (second doubles) both won 6-0, 6-0. Jillian Pagliuca won 6-3, 6-1 at first singles. Vanessa Rosa earned a 6-2, 6-1 win at second singles, and Jocelyn Pagliuca won 6-0, 6-0 at third singles for the Tigers.

Boys Volleyball

Taunton, 3 vs. Quincy, 0 – Final – Taunton defended its home court with a 3-0 (25-13, 25-15, 25-16) sweep against visiting Quincy. Jason Khang stepped up defensively with 11 digs while Ricardo DaFonseca paced the offense with 40 assists. Lance Law put down 18 kills and added a block, Lens Esquil added 11 kills and three blocks, and Collin Hunter played well at the net with six kills and a block.

Baseball

Franklin, 3 @ Taunton, 6 – Final – Taunton took the lead in the bottom of the fourth inning, scoring three runs on five hits but Franklin tied the game with three runs off two hits in the top of the fifth. The Tigers responded right away with two runs in the bottom of the fifth. Tyler Medeiros got it done at the plate and on the mound for the Tigers. Offensively, he had two hits and an RBI. And on the mound, he earned the win, allowing just three hits while striking out 10 in a complete game effort. Jacob Crawford added two hits and two runs and Griffin Tomaszycki had a hit, two RBI, and a run scored for the Tigers.

Softball

Taunton, 6 @ Franklin, 1 – Final – Taunton pushed across three runs in the first inning, added another in the second, and put the game out of reach with a pair in the fourth inning on the road at Franklin. Tigers freshman Kelsey White won her fourth game of the season, allowing just one run on seven hits with eight strikeouts (and no walks). Offensively, Alexa White and Liana Duarte (RBI) each had two hits while Jaime Brown (RBI) reached four times with three walks and a triple. Kya Enos, Hanna Aldrich, and McKenzie McAloon each knocked in a run for the Tigers. Franklin scored in the sixth inning when Ally Shea doubled and courtesy runner Molly Collins came around to score on a single from Tara Hartnett. Emily Valentino struck out four while Gabby Colace played a great game defensively for FHS.

Stoughton, 7 @ Taunton, 5 – Final

Boys Tennis

Franklin, 4 @ Taunton, 1 – Final – Franklin took a pair of wins from singles play and swept doubles in straight sets to get a win on the road at Taunton. Freshman Liam Marr won 6-0, 6-2 at second singles and senior Tyler DiPalma prevailed 7-5, 6-2 at third singles. The team of Tony Calderone and Derek Wu won 6-2, 6-2 at first doubles while Saketh Saripalli and Shournik Sompally lost just two games in a 6-2, 6-0 win at second doubles for the Panthers.

Taunton, 5 @ Franklin, 0 – Final – Taunton won all five of its matches in straights, going on the road to get a sweep at Franklin. Jillian Pagliuca won 6-1, 6-0 at first singles, Vanessa Rosa took a 6-0, 6-0 win at second singles, and Jocelyn Pagliuca earned a 6-1, 6-2 decision at third singles. McKenzie Lucie and Samantha Martin notched a 6-2, 6-1 win at first doubles while Amanda Pugh and Brianna Fevrier teamed together for a 6-2, 6-2 win at second doubles.

Attleboro, 0 @ Taunton, 5 – Final – Taunton didn’t lose a single game in its three single matches in a win over visiting Attleboro. Francois Hennaux (first singles), Brett Beaulieu (second singles), and Mike Briggs (third singles) all won 6-0, 6-0 for the Tigers. The team of Charlie Fiske and Dylan Kullas won 6-0, 6-1 at first doubles while Kyle Dennehy and Alex Pugh paired up for a 6-2, 6-2 win at second doubles.

Girls Tennis

Oliver Ames, 1 @ Taunton, 4 – Final – Taunton and Oliver Ames’ two doubles teams battled it out, with one going three sets, the other needing a tiebreaker, but the host Tigers prevailed in both. McKenzie Lucie and Samantha Martin rallied for a 0-6, 6-3, 6-2 win at first doubles, and Amanda Pugh and Brianna Fevrier emerged 7-5, 7-6 (3) at second doubles. Taunton also picked up wins at first singles from Jillian Pagliuca (6-0, 6-0) and second singles from Vanessa Rosa (7-6 (3), 6-4). Oliver Ames’ Maura Kiernan won 6-0, 6-2 at third singles.

Boys Outdoor Track

Taunton, 31 @ Oliver Ames, 105 – Final – Oliver Ames’s Jack MacAdam took first place in four events to lead the host Tigers to a big win. MacAdam took first in the 400M hurdles, the 110M hurdles, the long jump, and the high jump. Other first-place finishes for OA included Jason Windvogel (1 Mile), Matt Campbell (400M), Ethan Eckstrom (800M), Kyle Sarney (2 Mile), Jack Mills (Shot Put), Quinn Proudley (discus, javelin), and Kalil Mater (triple jump). OA’s 4×100 (Jared Boone, Chucky Akanegbu, Aaron MacDonald, Kalil Matier) and 4×400 relay (Zane Reservitz, Ethan Eckstrom, Matt Campbell, Jason Windvogel) both placed first.

Softball

Taunton, 7 @ Mansfield, 1 – Final – Jaylin Couto earned her fourth win of the season with a complete game, striking out eight. Jaime Brown was 2-for-4 for the Tigers with three runs scored and one RBI. Taunton also got a pair of hits from McKenzie McAloon and Payton Ceglarski and one hit and two RBI from Kya Enos. The Hornets had seven hits as a team and had base runners in all but the first inning, but couldn’t find the big hit with runners on base. Sydney Woods and Mady Bendanillo each went 2-for-3 and Caty DeMassi, Ella Verheggen, and Mary Muldoon each had one hit for Mansfield.

Luke Nickerson won 6-4, 6-3 at first singles, the team of Jalaj Singh and Sethu won 6-1, 6-2 at first singles, and Danny Radev and Ben Selden won 6-2, 6-0 at second doubles. Taunton’s Brett Beaulieu won 6-0, 6-0 at second doubles and Mike Briggs notched a 6-4, 6-1 win at third singles.

Boys Volleyball

Taunton, 3 vs. Brockton, 0 – Final – Taunton’s Ricardo DaFonseca had 36 assists, including the 1,000th of his career, to help set the Tigers up for a win over Brockton.

Stoughton, 8 @ Taunton, 3 – Final

Softball

Taunton, 8 @ Stoughton, 0 – Final – Taunton senior Kya Enos and freshman Hannah Aldrich each belted a two-run home run in the third inning, helping the Tigers build a lead they would never surrender. Payton Ceglarski added an RBI single in what was a five-run third inning for Taunton. Enos (three hits) added another run with an RBI single in the fourth, and then drove in another run with a triple in the sixth inning. Aldrich (three hits) added another RBI in the sixth. Jaime Brown added three hits and McKenzie McAloon chipped in with two, including a double. Kelsey White allowed just two hits while striking out 10 in a complete game shutout. “She pitched a masterful game,” said THS head coach Dave Lewry.

Boys Tennis

Taunton, 4 @ Stoughton, 1 – Final – Taunton won its fourth straight match, taking both doubles matches and winning two more in singles play to get the win. Junior Brett Beaulieu won his 40th career match with a 6-2, 6-1 win at second singles, Mike Briggs didn’t lose a single game at third singles, the team of Charlie Fiske and Alex Pugh won 6-3, 6-2 at first singles, and Kyle Dennehy and Trevor Hart notched a 6-3, 6-2 win at second doubles. Stoughton freshman Waseem Sablon won 7-6, 6-1 at first singles.

Girls Tenis

Stoughton, 0 @ Taunton, 5 – Final – Taunton defended home court by winning all five matches in straight sets against Stoughton. Jillian Pagliuca won 6-0, 6-0 at first singles, Vanessa Rosa earned a 6-2, 6-1 win at second singles, and Jocelyn Pagliuca won 6-3, 6-1 at third singled. Taunton’s first doubles team of Amanda Pugh and Brianna Fevrier won 6-1, 6-3 while Samantha Martin and Kayla Parrett won 6-2, 6-1 at second doubles.

Taunton, 1 @ Franklin, 21 – Final – Mairead Goguen scored two goals and had two assists for the Panthers, while Corinne Lewis had two goals. Kate Morse and Sydney Hawkins both scored their first goals of the season in the win.

Baseball

Taunton, 7 @ Canton, 0 – Final – Taunton’s Trevor Pietrzyk (two doubles, triple) set the tone, going 3-for-4 from the leadoff spot with an RBI and a run scored as the Tigers notched a win on the road. Jakob Roberts added two hits and two RBI while Ben Joyce drove in a pair of runs. Tyler Medeiros and Jacob Crawford each had a hit, an RBI and two runs scored for the Tigers. Medeiros got the win on the mound, scattering three hits over five innings of work with five strikeouts. Brendan Bignar and Logan Lawrence each tossed a scoreless inning in relief.

Softball

Canton, 0 @ Taunton, 13 – Final (5 Inn.) – Taunton sophomore Jaylin Couto struck out 10 while allowing just two hits and one walk to help the Tigers notch a win over visiting Canton. Couto improved to 3-0 with five scoreless innings. Offensively, Kelsey White went 3-for-4 with three runs, two RBI, and a stolen base, Kya Enos had two hits including a double, a run scored and an RBI, Abbie McDonough recorded two hits, scored three runs, stole a base, and had an RBI, and freshman McKenzie McAloon drove in three runs for the Tigers.

Girls Lacrosse

Taunton, 2 @ King Philip, 19 – Final – KP used nine different goal scorers to put an end to it two-game losing streak. Alli Meehan (one assist), Caroline Klim, Mackenzie Mazur, and Ali Wilson all recorded hat tricks for the Warriors, while Jess Sullivan scored a pair. Izzy Agricola, Jenna Hitchen (one assist), Olivia Tormey, and Dana Truini also scored for KP.

Girls Tennis

Taunton, 3 @ Canton, 2 – Final – Taunton’s first doubles pairing of McKenzie Lucie and Samantha Martin overcame a one-set deficit to record the third and final point to help the Tigers beat Canton. Lucie and Martin won 4-6, 6-0, 6-2 while Taunton’s second doubles team of Amanda Pugh and Brianna Fevrier won 6-0, 6-3 at second doubles. Freshman Jocelyn Pagliuca won 6-4, 6-3 at third singles for Taunton. Canton freshman Natalie Keppler won 6-1, 6-0 at first singles and classmate Rachel Kupferman didn’t lose a game in a 6-0, 6-0 win at second singles.

Boys Tennis

Canton, 0 @ Taunton, 5 – Final – Taunton picked up its second straight win by sweeping visiting Sharon, taking all three singles matches in straight sets without dropping a game. Francois Hennaux (first singles), Brett Beaulieu (second singles) and Mike Briggs (third singles) all won 6-0, 6-0. The team of Charlie Fiske and Dylan Kulas won 6-3, 6-2 at first doubles while Kyle Dennehy and Alex Pugh prevailed 5-7, 6-4, 10-1 at second doubles.

Boys Volleyball

​Taunton, 3 @ New Bedford, 0 – Final – Taunton went on the road and returned with a 3-0 (25-13, 25-17, 25-17) win over New Bedford. Lens Esquil notched 11 kills and four blocks, Collin Hunter added five kills and four blocks, Malik Charles chipped in with four kills and a pair of blocks, and Alex Tavares notched four kills and a block. Freshman Tyler Stewart recorded his first two career kills in the win.

Taunton, 3 @ Foxboro, 2 – Final – Taunton swept singles play to edge out Foxboro on the road. Senior Francois Hennaux battled to a three-set win (6-1, 1-6, 6-4) at first singles, Brett Beaulieu impressed in a 6-1, 6-1 decision at second singles, and Mike Brigg recorded a 6-4, 6-3 win at third singles for the Tigers.
